I think this may have been the 1st free sample we ever tried. Initially bottled for travel retail, we received this as a thanks for buying another very expensive bottle of scotch. Not a bad scotch, very typical of the Glenfiddich we have sampled.
Jim: Color: Light gold Nose: Orange, vanilla, oaky, salty, nice Palate: Oily, oaky, vanilla, caramel, not overpowering Finish: Short, nice, a little peppery w/Water: oaky, easy drinking but watery 7.8/7.6 Matt: Color: Light gold Nose: grapefruit, oak, vanilla...actually reminds me more of a bourbon than a scotch Palate: Like...a Glenfiddich. A simple but nice scotch. A bit oily, oaky, vanilla Finish: Short, pleasant, maybe a little watery? w/water: like scotch flavored water...maybe a little ore oak in the nose 7.9/6.0 Price: $77.51 Q: Is it worth it? A: If you are a fan of Glenfiddich I would say go for it, otherwise I think you can get find a comparable scotch for a much lower price.
