Matt Color: Dark, caramel Nose: Slight burn, apples, honey, sweet out-doorsy Palate: Strong Sherry & port Finish: burnt wood, peat, pleasant w/ Water: ruins nose, detracts from flavors in palate, finish still intact, though SCORE: 8.5 / 8.1 Jim Color: Dark amber Nose: Burn, cut grass, honey, sweet. Apple? Ok, I get apple. Palate: Complex to a point that it's hard to out individual flavors, wine-like qualities are there, great taste. Finish: long, sweet, wine-like astringency w/ Water: kills nose & flavor, finish is still good. SCORE: 8.8 / 8.0
