Matt Color: Deep amber. Nose: Neutral, hint of wood, smoke, and perhaps vanilla Palate: Almost creamy, orange, caramel, slight taste of smoke. Smooth. Finish: Sweet, more orange, smoke. Brief. w/ Water: Not bad at all! Brings more out in the nose (cherry, orange, candied sweetness). Palate has more heat, more sherry and finish is longer with more burn. SCORE: 9.1 / 9.1 Jim Color: Dark orange. Nose: Vanilla and caramel, mild. Hint of smoke. Palate: Caramel, vanilla, smoke. Velvety smooth - the creme brulee of Scotch. Finish: Short, sweet, orangey. Little smoke & vanilla. w/ Water: Lots more in nose. Especially fruits, dried & candied. The palate has more heat but also more of the flavors. SCORE: 9.1 / 9.0
